Charley Hull secured her first title on the LPGA Tour for over three years by holding off World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul to claim a one-shot victory at the Kroger Queen City Championship.

The 29-year-old from England, whose previous triumph on the LPGA Tour came at The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America in 2022, found herself a shot behind Thitikul heading into the par-5 18th at TPC River’s Bend and appeared on course to record her third straight runner-up finish in three starts.

But Thailand’s Thitikul stumbled to four-putt the last and make bogey leaving the door open for Hull. Hull capitalized calmly two-putting from around 30 feet for a final-round 68 to end her winless drought and seal a third career LPGA Tour win.

“I just thought I had to make the eagle to be fair,” said Hull. “And I wasn’t really watching her putt for birdie, because I thought she was going to hole it.

“Then yeah, I guess it’s not over until the fat lady sings. I was shaking over that last putt because I just didn’t expect it. But yeah, it feels pretty good.”

England’s Lottie Woad continued to impress in her rookie professional season, finishing third on 18 under.

“It was good,” the 21-year-old said. “I gave it a good run on the front nine, got up there and kind of slowed down a little bit.

“Played well today and just pretty aggressive, so happy with that.”

Japan’s Miyu Yamashita finished a shot further back in fourth on 17 under while there was a seven-way tie for fifth which featured World No. 2 and American Nelly Korda on 15 under.
