World No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul secured her fifth LPGA Tour title with a four-shot victory at the Mizuho Americas Open.

Thitikul fired an impressive opening 64 at Liberty National, the lowest round of the week, to dominate at the top of the leaderboard from the start. In the final round, she recorded a 3-under 69 to end a bogey-free round, birdieing holes 1, 9, and 17 and ending the tournament on 17-under, comfortably clear of the rest of the competition.

The 22-year-old’s triumph follows a long string of top-10s in 2025, and an earlier win on the Ladies European Tour at the PIF Saudi Ladies International. She has also moved up to top the Race to CME Globe standings, and continues to put the pressure on Nelly Korda at the top of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

“I know that a lot of putts didn’t drop on the front nine, but I’m trying to do my best,” Thitikul said about her final round afterwards. “I was just trying to tell myself, ‘be patient, it’s coming, it’s coming.’ That’s pretty much what I told myself today.”

France’s Celine Boutier came out to be Thitikul’s closest challenger with five holes left to play. But suffered a costly three-putt bogey at the 15th from 10 feet. She went on to card a level-par 72 to end on 13 under. Third was shared by America’s Andrea Lee and Spain’s Carlota Ciganda, both finishing on 12-under.

The World No. 1, searching for her first win of the season, had rallied in her quest to join Thitikul at the summit to find herself only a shot back by the 8th. But her back nine display derailed her as she found a hazard and bogeyed the 9th and was unable to birdie another hole to finish with a 1-over 73, sharing fifth with fellow American Yealimi Noh and Australia’s Stephanie Kyriacou.

What is the next event?

After a week’s break, the next event on the LPGA Tour schedule is the MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba taking place between 22-25 May at Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo in Mexico.
