After finishing outside of the Top 25 at the AIG Women’s Open, in a share of 36th place alongside fellow American Sarah Schmelzel and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda falls to No. 2 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
22-year-old Jeeno Thitikul now moves to the top spot, marking the second time she has taken up the title after a two-week run in 2022. She is the second player from Thailand to reach the No. 1 status after Ariya Jutanugarn.
“I am very grateful to become the No. 1 player in the world for the second time. This is not just about me – this is about my family, my team and my friends, not to mention the amazing support I feel from my fans in Thailand and all around the world,” said Thitikul. “There are so many incredible golfers competing every week and I will work my hardest to make sure I am a strong representative of our game.”
Thitikul is currently in the lead for the Race to the CME Globe with 2,204.950 points, and the Rolex Player of the Year standings with 104 points. In 2025 alone, she has recorded eight top-10 finishes and secured a victory at the Mizuho Americas Open in May.
Korda’s top performances this season include a tie for second at the U.S. Women’s Open alongside Japan’s Rio Takeda, and a solo runner-up finish at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Her T36 finish at the season’s final major over the weekend has confirmed her fall down to second in the rankings. However, Korda’s total of 108 weeks at World No. 1 places her among an elite group of just six players who have spent 100 or more weeks at the top of the rankings.
