The First Tee is a remarkable organization making a positive impact on kids across the U.S. for more than 20 years.
Through the game of golf, it has continued to have a positive impact on kids across the U.S. since the launch of The First Tee in November 1997 with Honorary Chair President George H.W. Bush.
The youth sports organization’s mission is to grow the game of golf by transforming the experience that kids (and families) have with the sport.
Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee has reached more than 15 million kids, positively impacting their lives. Reaching more than five million kids annually, The First Tee offers programs in all 50 states through: The National School Program in more than 10,000 elementary schools, 150 chapters at more than 1,200 golf courses and The First Tee DRIVE at 1,300 youth centers.
The First Tee is expanding globally and currently offers programs at six international locations.

More than 1,000 PGA & LPGA teaching professionals and 25,000 volunteers work together to teach kids The First Tee Nine Core Values and life skills that help shape and impact their lives.

Strong foundation
The organization says, “We have a strong foundation on which to build. For 20 years, The First Tee has been changing the sport of golf and working to shape and impact the lives of kids.
“We are engaging the next generation of fans through unique golf experiences, signature events and strategic partnerships.
“The First Tee’s Founding Partners LPGA, the Masters Tournament, PGA of America, PGA TOUR and the USGA, our proud media partner, Golf Channel, and our honorary chair, President George W. Bush, have all helped contribute to our success. We plan to leverage and partner with them even further to bolster our impact domestically and around the world.”
