TGL presented by SoFi have announced that the opening match of its second season will see the defending champions Atlanta Drive GC take on New York Golf Club in a rematch of Season 1’s Finals on Sunday, December 28.
In Season 1 of the tech-driven golf league, Atlanta Drive GC — featuring Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Justin Thomas — staged a dramatic comeback to win Match 2 of the Finals Series, edging out New York Golf Club 4–3 to claim the SoFi Cup. New York’s lineup included Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, and Cameron Young.
“TGL presented by SoFi’s inaugural season exceeded all expectations, and Season 2 begins with TGL’s first-ever match on ABC — a rematch of last season’s Finals between Atlanta and New York,” said Mike McCarley, Founder and CEO of TMRW Sports and TGL. “This off season we’ve beenfocused on elevating the fan experience and are eager to welcome fans and teams back to SoFi Center in December.”
Atlanta Drive will return the SoFi Cup to SoFi Center and the trophy will change from the champion team’s red back to SoFi blue until a new champion is crowned during the Season 2 Finals taking place in March 2026.
TGL recently revealed that Season 3 starting in 2027 will see the formation of it’s seventh team Motor City Golf Club (MCGC), representing Detroit..
