Option 2: Qualifying Events

Qualifying events include both local and final tournaments that have seen a total of 10,187 worldwide entries received for the 2023 U.S. Open. Out of all these entries, this year has included a total of 109 local qualifying events that will culminate in 12 final events, with 9 of them taking place in the US on June 5th. Some final qualifying events that have already taken place include May 16th in Surrey, England, and May 22nd in Tsukubamirai, Japan, and Dallas, Texas.

What To Expect in the 2023 U.S. Open

With such a star-studded field, we can all expect fireworks from this year’s U.S. Open once the cameras go live at The Los Angeles Country Club on June 15th. Defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick will be looking to defend his title by all means. On the other hand, the likes of Brooks Koepka, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, and Jon Rahm will be seeking to add one more to their major trophies’ cabinets. There is also that element of surprise as witnessed in this year’s Masters Tournament and PGA Championship where you never know how the dice will roll until the final round is over.

Final Thoughts

We are set for some breathtaking action and golf magic that will rain in Los Angeles, California in the next fortnight or so. Will a newbie rise from the ashes and surprise the elite golfers in the tournament or will one of the big boys show their quality and come home with the trophy?
