Course Insight
Originally designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee in 1961, Bay Hill was substantially redesigned by Arnold Palmer over the years to modernize the challenge for today’s top players.
Notable Course Features
The closing hole at Bay Hill has been known for producing dramatic moments. The 458- yard par 4 requires a second shot to a narrow kidney-shaped green that wraps around a lake. While a difficult hole, it has seen such heroics as Robert Gamez holing out for an eagle to win in 1990 and Tiger Woods three times making a birdie to win by one stroke.
Charity Benefit
Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is the host organization of the tournament. The foundation supports the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, also providing financial support to various institutions and organizations.
