When it comes to notable pop culture icons, such as Samuel L. Jackson, golfing doesn’t necessarily come into mind, but there are quite a few celebrity golfers who have a skillset on the green that might surprise you. Essential Golf has compiled a list of some of the best celebrity golf players who can compete with some of the pro golfers.

Speaking of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, actor Clint Eastwood is also a big contender, who has competed against Bill Murray and came out in successful standing while in the competition. In addition to performing pretty well, Eastwood also owns the luxurious Tehama Golf Course, which boasts 18-holes and a sprawling 18,000 sq. ft. clubhouse complete with a bar, restaurant, ballroom, and four suites.
Celine Dion
Celebrity Dion is another avid golfer, who has an impressive handicap of 17. The legendary songstress also owns her own golf course in her home turf of Canada called Le Mirage. She also has a private course at her own home where you can find her often.
Alice Cooper
If you would have said a couple decades ago that the controversial shock rocker would be a golf enthusiast with a handicap of seven, most people would look at you like you just grew an extra head. However, Alice Cooper took to golfing as a therapeutic approach to gaining and maintaining his sobriety from alcohol and other substances. Alice Cooper even outlined his road to recovery through the sport of golf in a novel called Golf Monster: My 12 Steps to Becoming a Golf Addict.
Ann Murray
Songstress Ann Murray can do way more than just bust out in a gorgeous tune. She also happens to be one of the most skilled celebrity golfers on the golf course. Having a handicap of 11, she definitely could have made it into the pros.
These are just a few of the celebrity golfers that you can find on the green, but you can see all of them together when you tune into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
