Full List of Teams and Golfers for the 2024 LIV Season

As fans watched Joaquin Niemann lift the first LIV Golf title of 2024 at Mayakoba, one thing was clear: there was a certain freshness and advanced competitiveness in the Saudi-backed series. New big-name signings like Jon Rahm have undoubtedly tilted the scales a notch. Even more interesting are the 13 teams of 4 golfers each that combine the talents of top players to deliver entertaining group play.

The 13 Teams for the 2024 LIV Golf Season

4 Aces GC

4 Aces GC include Dustin Johnson as captain. The two-time major winner partners with fellow Americans Pat Perez, Patrick Reed, and Harold Varner III to create a formidable team.

Cleeks GC

2010 PGA Championship winner Martin Kaymer holds the mantle for the Cleeks. The German golfer’s teammates include Englishman Richard Bland, the newly promoted Kalle Samooja, and new signing Adrian Meronk.

Crushers GC

Crushers GC are under the stewardship of 2020 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau. The other three members are Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri, Englishman Paul Casey, and one of the most consistent players on tour, Charles Howell III.

Fireballs GC

Spaniard Sergio Garcia is the captain of Fireballs GC, joined by the 2018 Emirates Australian Open winner Abraham Ancer. The other duo consists of Spanish golfers Eugenio Chacarra and David Puig.

Hy Flyers GC

Six-time major champion Phil Mickelson engages his expertise as the captain of Hy Flyers GC. Lefty partners with Americans Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale, and the newly promoted Andy Ogletree.

Iron Heads GC

Korean American professional golfer Kevin Na captains the Iron Heads GC. The remaining trio comprises the newly promoted Jinichiro Kozuma, Zimbabwean Scott Vincent, and 2008 U.S. Amateur champion Danny Lee.    

Legion XIII GC

Legion XIII GC is a new outfit for the 2024 LIV Golf season, captained by fresh signing – 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm. The Spaniard partners with fellow new signings Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt, and the newly promoted Kieran Vincent.

Majesticks GC

Englishman Ian Poulter is the captain of Majesticks GC, with fellow countryman Lee Westwood and 2016 Open Championship winner Henrik Stenson as co-captains. European Tour player Sam Horsfield is the fourth team member.

Range Goats GC

RangeGoats GC underwent significant changes before the 2024 season, receiving Matthew Wolff from Smash GC in exchange for Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein from 4Aces GC to replace Harold Varner III. Team captain Bubba Watson and Belgian golfer Thomas Pieters are the other pair.

Ripper GC

2022 Open Championship winner Cameron Smith captains Ripper GC. Other team members include new signing Lucas Herbert, two-time Emirates Australian Open winner Matt Jones, and Australian professional golfer Marc Leishman.

Smash GC

Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka steers the wheel of Smash GC. The other three players are 2010 U.S. Open winner Graeme McDowell, American professional golfer Jason Kokrak, and Talor Gooch, who transferred from Range Goats GC in December 2023.

Stinger GC

Stinger GC is an all-African affair, bringing together four South African golfers. 2010 Open Championship winner Louis Oosthuizen is the team captain, with fellow countrymen Dean Burmester, Branden Grace, and 2011 Masters winner Charl Schwartzel as teammates.

Torque GC

The thirteenth team is Torque GC, an all-South-American affair captained by LIV Mayakoba 2024 winner Joaquin Nieman. The remaining three members are Colombian professional golfer Sebastian Munoz, Chilean player Mito Pereira, and the 2020 Vivint Houston Open Carlos Ortiz.

The Bottomline

Three of the 13 teams remain unchanged in their lineups from the 2023 season while there is a brand-new team for the 2024 season, Legion XIII GC, captained by Jon Rahm.

The first out of fourteen LIV 2024 tournaments took place at El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course with Torque GC’s Joaquin Niemann emerging take the title and seal the $4 million prize. Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII GC led in team payouts with $3 million. The next tournament, LIV Golf Las Vegas, will take place from 8-10 February.
