Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau feature in the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated Happy Gilmore 2 released by Netflix.
Actor and comedian Adam Sandler is set to return on the course as Happy for the first time in almost 30 years in the sequel to the popular sports comedy released in 1996 as he looks to get back into the sport following his Championship success in the first film.
“I haven’t swung a club in years,” Happy states in the trailer.
In addition to the internationally-renowned golfers, the teaser also reveals the return of Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Ben Stiller as Hal L, and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin for the sequel with new inclusions to the cast including the likes of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny), Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and Travis Kelce, who didn’t make an appearance in the trailer but has previously been reported as having a role.
Kyle Newacheck, who previously collaborated with Sandler on Murder Mystery, replaces Dennis Dugan—director of the original film. However, Sandler and co-writer Tim Herlihy, who penned the first movie, return to write the sequel.
