Keegan Bradley kept his cool in the final round to secure a surprise one-shot victory at the BMW Championship, the second event of the FedExCup Playoffs.

The U.S. Ryder Cup captain for 2025 sneaked into the 50-man tournament as the final qualifier in the FedExCup standings. But the 38-year-old, who had previously won this event in 2018, produced a level-par 72 to end the tournament at Castle Pines on top on 12 under and earn a narrow victory over countryman Sam Burns, Australia’s Adam Scott, and Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, who all finished alongside each other in second.

As a result of this victory, his seventh on the PGA TOUR, Bradley will take part in next week’s season-ending TOUR Championship at East Lake that will feature the Top 30 players in the FedExCup standings. Bradley now finds himself in fourth with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler still at the top of the standings despite the disappointing 33rd finish in this event. Xander Schaffuele stays in second while FedEx St. Jude winner Hideki Matsuyama, despite withdrawing from the event earlier in the week due to injury, also remains in third.

“Oh, man, it just shows why you’ve got to grind it out every week because you never know how fast it can switch,” Bradley said.

“Now I go to Atlanta with a chance to win the FedEx Cup. I can’t believe it. I’m so excited.”
