There are various pathways to earn a PGA TOUR card, mainly as a Korn Ferry Tour graduate or through the DP World Tour’s 10 Cards Initiative. Korn Ferry Tour (KFT) Graduates
The top 30 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List secured PGA TOUR cards for the 2025 season beginning in January.
The Korn Ferry Tour Class of 2024 includes:
- Seven PGA TOUR University alums such as Ricky Castillo, Noah Goodwin, John Pak, and Karl Vilips.
- 23 players who’ll be 2025 PGA TOUR rookies, including Mason Andersen, Ricky Castillo, Quade Cummins, and Cristobal Del Solar
- Eight countries and territories represented: United States, Sweden, South Africa, Norway, Japan, Germany, Chile, and Australia.
- Aldrich Potgieter is the youngest graduate at 20 years of age.
Top 5 Korn Ferry Tour Graduates for the 2025 PGA TOUR Season
Matt McCarty
McCarty finished top on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, fuelled by three crucial wins at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron, the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse, and the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper. The Scottsdale native became the 24th player in Tour history to win three times in a season and the 13th player to earn the Three-Victory Promotion, established in 1997.
Max McGreevy
McGreevy graduated from the KFT for a second time, having been part of the Class of 2020-21 and qualifying for the 2022 FedExCup Playoffs as a PGA TOUR rookie. The University of Oklahoma alum is a three-time Korn Ferry Tour winner and posted nine top-10 finishes in 2024, including wins at the Magnit Championship and the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS.
Frankie Capan III
Capan III finished third on the KFT Points List in his second season on the tour, finishing No. 51 as a rookie in 2023. In 2024, the Minnesota native won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship and a pair of runner-up finishes, easily securing a PGA TOUR card for 2025. The golfer won the 2017 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Pinehurst No. 2 alongside Shuai Ming Wong.
Steven Fisk
Georgia Southern University alum Steven Fisk had an impressive 2024, winning his first Korn Ferry Tour title in his third season at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah. Despite entering the year with just one top-10 finish in his first 47 career starts, he also managed several runner-up and third-place finishes this season, fuelling his ascension to the PGA TOUR.
Tim Widing
Swedish golfer Tim Widing will be seeking to follow in his countryman Ludvig Åberg’s footsteps in the 2025 PGA TOUR season. The University of San Francisco alum earned his card after back-to-back victories in April at the LECOM Suncoast Classic and Veritex Bank Championship.
