University of Oklahoma golfer Patrick Welch vividly demonstrated his hunger for the top spot when he won the Southern Highlands Collegiate event in 2022. The American star currently ranks seventh on the PGA TOUR U rankings and holds the thirty-first position on the WAGR.

Ryan Burnett

American amateur golfer Ryan Burnett currently ranks position 29 on the WAGR and eighth on the PGA TOUR U listing. In 21 events played, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill golfer has garnered eight Top 10 finishes, including two wins at The Calusa Cup and NCAA Salem Regional in 2023.

Ingrid Lindblad

Women’s golf has also produced some very skilled college golfers, such as Louisiana State University’s Ingrid Lindblad. She sits at position two in the WAGR women’s category, and has recorded 23 Top 10 finishes and eight wins out of 34 events. Lindblad’s notable wins include the 2023 Clemson Invitational and the 2020 Florida State Match-Up.

Rachel Kuehn

North Carolina-born amateur golfer Rachel Kuehn followed in her mother’s footsteps and pursued the sport. Thankfully, the efforts paid off and now the Wake Forest University star holds position six in the WAGR women’s ranking. Kuehn’s notable wins include the Valspar Augusta Invitational in 2023 and Jackson T. Stephens Cup Stroke in 2022.

Amari Avery

Amari Avery rose to fame as a child actress in the 2013 Netflix documentary The Short Game. The young girl we watched swinging golf clubs like a star never let go of her dream and now trades her craft for the University of South California where she is a sophomore. Avery currently ranks 10th on the WAGR with wins such as the 2022 Windy City Collegiate Classic.
