The 19th edition of the FedExCup Playoffs will tee off this week following the conclusion of the regular season at last week’s Wyndham Championship as the 2025 PGA TOUR season heats up as it draws ever closer to its climax.
What are the Events in the FedExCup Playoffs?
The playoffs begin at TPC Southwind in Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Championship between 7-10 August. The playoffs will then move on to Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland for the BMW Championship between 14-17 August. Following the BMW Championship will be the conclusion of the playoffs at the season-ending TOUR Championship taking place at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia between 21-24 August where the FedExCup Champion will be revealed and be given the mammoth $25 million bonus prize.
Which Players Have Qualified for the Playoffs?
The current top 70 in the season-long FedExCup points list qualify for the first FedExCup Playoff event. The top 10 players on the points list in August are:

Those placed within the top 50 following the FedEx St. Jude Championship will qualify for the BMW Championship. Then the top 30 following the BMW Championship will be able to contest in the season finale at the TOUR Championship.
Are there any changes to the FedExCup Playoffs this year?
This year’s iteration of the playoffs will see a major procedural change. The TOUR Championship will be played as a 72-hole event with everyone starting at even par – just like every other tournament on the schedule. This is a departure from the “starting strokes” format, which was instituted in 2019 and gave players a stroke advantage based on their success during the regular season and playoffs.
