DP World Tour Announce 2024 Season Schedule

DP World Tour Announce 2024 Season Schedule

The 2024 DP World Tour schedule will include a more substantial prize fund and conclude with an end-of-season play-off double-header, as part of its new redesigned format.

The new schedule that includes at least 44 tournaments across 24 different countries, will wrap up with two DP World Tour Play-Offs in November, taking place in the United Arab Emirates, where the top-ranked player of the year will be awarded the title.

The schedule showcases what are referred to as “three novel and unique stages” on the Race to Dubai.

  • Five ‘Global Swings’ from November 2023 to August 2024 – The Opening Swing, The International Swing, The Asian Swing, The European Swing, and The Closing Swing
  • The ‘Back 9’ – featuring nine of the DP World Tour’s most historic tournaments and national Opens – from September 2024 to October 2024
  • Two DP World Tour Play-Offs – the Abu Dhabi Championship and the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai – in November 2024

Golfers will vie for a total prize pool of $148.5 million (not including the major tournaments). Winner of each Swing will receive a $200,000 bonus and automatically qualify for the Back 9 tournaments.

DP World Tour’s chief executive, Keith Pelley, said: “Our 2024 season will see our members come together to compete across a global schedule, with greater opportunities and rewards than ever before.

“The many new and original enhancements we have introduced will guarantee drama and excitement for our fans, our broadcasters and all our stakeholders across the entire season and means, more than ever, that every week counts on the DP World Tour.”

Those who finish within the top 70 in the Race to Dubai rankings will compete in the Abu Dhabi Championship and those within the top 50 will be eligible to take part in the season-concluding DP World Tour Championship between 14-17 November.
