The DP World Tour has revealed the full schedule for 2026 featuring a host of changes.
Next year’s circuit will consist of at least 42 Race to Dubai events across 25 different countries once again spilt into a series of various ‘swings’. The season will begin with the ‘Opening Swing’ from November to December 2025, followed by the ‘International Swing’ from January to March 2026. The ‘Asian Swing’ will run from March to May, then moves into the ‘European Swing’ from May to July. The ‘Closing Swing’ will take place between July and August, before coming towards a close with the ‘Back 9 Events’ from August to October 2026.
The Race to Dubai will conclude with the DP World Tour Championship between 12-15 November at Jumeriah Golf Estates in UAE.
One of the many changes in the schedule comes at the Amgen Irish Open. Recently won by grand slam hero Rory McIlroy, the 2026 event, between 10-13 September, will be hosted by Trump International Golf Links in Ireland in Doonberg as it becomes the latest professional golf event that a Donald Trump-owned course will host.
There will also be the introduction of the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship that will tee off during the European Swing between 7-10 May at Real Club de Golf Prat in Barcelona. The course has previously been revealed as the host for the 2031 Ryder Cup.
The five Rolex Series events will remain unchanged, beginning with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic from 22-25 January. The Genesis Scottish Open, once again co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR, will take place from 9–12 July.
There will be a record prize fund of $157.5 million on the DP World Tour next year, $4 million more than the previous total.
As a result of the changes made to the DP World Tour membership structure, only those featured within the top 100 in the Race to Dubai Rankings will be able to retain a full card for the 2027 season, reduced from the top 110.
Additionally, the number of DP World Tour cards available for top players on the HotelPlanner Tour will be cut from 20 to 15.
DP World Tour Chief Executive, Guy Kinnings, said: “Our 2026 schedule once again showcases our global talent in global destinations as we celebrate the diversity of the courses and cultures we visit.
“The five Global Swings, the Back 9 and the DP World Tour Play-Offs provide a compelling season-long narrative on the Race to Dubai, comprising many historic national Opens and international events that have an enduring appeal to our members and our fans.”
