As 2023 comes to an end, some golfers have more reason to make merry than others, as fortune has treated each player differently. Each golfer has that magical season where each stoke seems to be anointed by the gods, helping them scoop multiple titles effortlessly. Even those who miss out on the much sought-after silverware learn some valuable lessons throughout the season, helping them to fine-tune their gameplay accordingly for the future. Below, we look at golfers who have lifted the most titles in 2023.

Golfers with the Most Wins

Jon Rahm – 4 Titles

Jon Rahm staged an exemplary performance in the first four months of 2023. The Spaniard first unleashed his talent by winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions in early January, followed by The American Express a fortnight later. Come February, Rahm sailed through at the Genesis Invitational. April marked a historic win for the star when he clinched the Masters at Augusta.

Lilia Vu – 4 Titles

Lilia Vu has enjoyed an incredible 2023, scooping four titles, including two majors. The world number one lifted her first silverware in February at the Honda LPGA Thailand before clinching her first major at the Chevron Championship in April. Vu then triumphed at the AIG Women’s Open in August to record her second major before finishing the year in style by winning The Annika in November.

Viktor Hovland – 3 Titles

Norwegian Viktor Hovland can enjoy a happy Christmas, having won four titles in 2023. Hovland won the Memorial Tournament in June, followed by the BMW Championship in August. A week later, he overcame Xander Schauffele to lift the Tour Championship, becoming the third-youngest FedExCup champion.

Scottie Scheffler – 3 Titles

World number one golfer Scottie Scheffler seems determined to hold the forte in men’s golf, winning three titles in 2023. The American started the year by successfully defending his WM Phoenix Open title in February. The following month, Scheffler won The Players Championship in convincing fashion. The third win came in December when he emerged victorious in the Hero World Challenge.

Rory Mcllroy – 3 Titles

Northern Irish talisman Rory McIlroy has enjoyed another spectacular year at the elite level, scooping two series events and his fifth Harry Vardon Trophy. Mcllroy’s first win came in January at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before clinching the Genesis Scottish Open in July. He affirmed his European dominance after winning the 2023 Race to Dubai title to end the year strong.
