Third Round
Although Harman started with a comfortable five-shot lead, two bogeys on his first four holes brought him down to a two-shot lead. Nonetheless, he recovered by hitting four birdies that included a 20-foot putt on the 12th hole, winning the third round at 2-under 69.
Cameron Young came in second after shooting a round of 66 that included a 30-foot opening birdie followed by five other birdies, finishing at seven under after 54 holes.
Rahm claimed third place after an impressive round of 63, which made history as the lowest round in an Open Championship at Royal Liverpool.
Sepp Straka, Antoine Rozner, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, and Jason Day finished tied for fourth position after 54 holes at 5-under.
Fourth Round
Brian Harman held on to his dominance during the final round, overcoming risky bogeys on the 5th and 13th holes with a 23-foot birdie on the seventh hole and a 40-foot birdie putt on the fourteenth hole. He shot a one-under 70 for the round, aggregating 13-under for the tournament, and winning his maiden Open Championship by six shots. The win was also Harman’s first major championship which saw him pocket $3,000,000.
Finishing tied for second place at 7-under were golfers Sepp Straka, Jon Rahm, Tom Kim, and Jason Day who each pocketed $1,084,625.
Rory McIlroy and Emiliano Grillo finished tied for sixth place at 6-under, each earning $551,250.

2023 has been quite an eventful year, especially in major tournaments, with a golfer like Wyndham Clark rising from the ashes to win the U.S. Open, and now Brian Harman scooping the Open Championship after a 6-year trophyless drought.
