Scottie Scheffler is lined up to make his first appearance on the PGA TOUR in 2025 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The World No. 1 has yet to make an appearance in the new season after suffering from a hand injury whilst readying Christmas dinner which required the 28-year-old to have surgery.
Scheffler’s manager Blake Smith revealed in a statement last month that “Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass” and that the two-time major winner “should be back to 100% in three to four weeks”.
The injury has caused Scheffler to miss The Sentry, the Sony Open, American Express, and the Farmers Insurance Open but he stated he did not want to “rush back just to rush back” after he postponed his initial plan to return by a week citing that he required more time for the injury to heal.
It will be his first appearance on the PGA TOUR since he successfully defended his Hero World Challenge in early December. He also took part in the inaugural edition of ‘The Showdown’ in which he teamed up with Rory McIlroy against LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in Las Vegas.
Opening up on his recovery last week, Scheffler said: “It was pretty unusual for me not to be able to do much in the gym.
“I was still able to get in there and do some movement stuff and some of the stuff I usually do with my legs, but as far as upper body goes, I’m not going to go and just work out the left side of my body and come into the season walking like this [leaning to the right].”
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, the second signature event of the year, will take place between 30 January to 2 February.
