These shots are indispensable, and the better you get at them, the lower the score. When you’re hitting your short shots, you want to develop a setup where your feet are very close together. That’s a very important feature. With a wide stance, it gets much more difficult to get the right descent and strike on the ball.
Club selection is also important here. If you have a clear picture in mind of the trajectory of the shot you want, you’ll be able to choose a club that will allow you to execute that shot cleanly.
