The 3-wood is an interesting club that has changed a lot over the years. It’s gotten a lot longer over the years, and the extra length of the club has made it more difficult to hit.
When selecting your 3-wood, make sure you select enough loft. Look into a higher lofted 3-wood to get more distance out of it.
When it comes to technique in hitting a 3-wood, due to the modern equipment, the strike has to be level—almost like a sweep.
