Sign Up for Q-School
Most aspiring golfers dream of turning pro and playing on the PGA TOUR, but to do that, you must pass through Qualifying School. Q-school takes place over four months and involves four stages: pre-qualifying, first, second, and final. Those who finish in the first 25 positions in the final stage earn a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour, the last step to joining the PGA TOUR. Positions 26-50 also get conditional status.

Landing a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour gives you a taste of the life of a touring golfer. You get to travel a lot and engage in highly competitive tournaments that put your skills to the ultimate test. Finishing in the top 25 positions in the finals earns you a PGA TOUR card, but spots 26-50 also get conditional status. It’s worth noting that different countries and regions have their own smaller professional tours that you can join.

Once you have sailed through the smaller professional tours and earned your tour card, it’s time to shine in the major leagues.
