Leona Maguire

Irish professional female golfer Leona Maguire was born to be an athlete. At just nine years old, Leona had to choose between a promising swimming career and golf, and fortunately for her, she chose golf. Leona boasts a record 135 weeks as the women’s world amateur No. 1 golfer, and since going pro in 2018, her career has been advancing promisingly.

Atthaya Thitikul

One of the most promising talents to watch on the LPGA Tour is Atthaya Thitikul. At only 14 years, the star stunned the golf community when she bagged the Ladies European Thailand Championship. Since then, Thitikul has enjoyed more victories on the Ladies European Tour and is currently turning heads in the LPGA.

Brooke Henderson

Canadian professional golfer Brooke Henderson started her decorated golf career at home, where she won the Canadian Press female athlete of the year for a stunning three years: 2015, 2017, and 2018. Brooke boasts at least 9 LPGA wins, including the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship that she scooped aged 18 years.

Minjee Lee

Minjee Lee made headlines in 2014 when she became the number one ranked amateur golfer after winning the Oates Victorian Open, and since then, the laid-back star has never looked back. Lee scored her first major win in 2021 at the Amundi Evian Championship. The star seems destined for a bright career on the LPGA Tour. 

Jessica Korda

Since she turned pro, Jessica Korda has enjoyed significant success on the LPGA Tour. In 2012, she recorded her first professional win at the Women’s Australian Open at Royal Melbourne. The win must have inspired her because two years later, in January 2014, she bagged her second LPGA title at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. Jessica has maintained a consistent performance on the LPGA Tour to date.

Women’s golf is here to stay, and the LPGA Tour keeps improving yearly. With the cutthroat competition witnessed in the 2022 season, we can only wait and see how many of the above-listed golfers will hold their positions, as young female golfers from around the world continue to sharpen their skills and aim for the top spot.
