GolfBuddy has launched a trio of new rangefinders for 2019 with the release of the Laser 1, Laser 1S and Aim L10V editions.
The leading manufacturer of handheld distance measuring devices, GolfBuddy lead the field when it comes to rangefinders and there are three new options to consider if you are in the market for a new option.
The new 2019 recruits to the GolfBuddy armoury include the Laser 1 and Laser 1S, both of which sit firmly in the middle market when it comes to price, and the top-of-the-range L10V in which no stone has been left unturned.
All three provide even more accuracy than ever before with the buzz words about the new products being that they are “accurate, innovative and measurable,” the last one being pretty handy when you consider what you are buying in the first place!
There’s an attractive sporty design look to all three, and voice option versions if you like the reassurance of caddy-like advice if you prefer that sort of thing.
What can you expect from each of them and what will they bring to your game?
GolfBuddy Laser 1
Designed in an attractive white, black and red colour scheme, the Laser 1 is the most basic (although that doesn’t do it justice) of the three options. But don’t let that think there isn’t technology galore in the handheld distance measuring device.
The LCD screen now makes it easier than ever before to see the measurements provided and the six-times magnification allows golfers to gain more accurate distances than ever before. That is thanks to the three target options when measuring – Standard, Scan and Pin Finder. A vibration confirms the target has been read.
The Laser 1 weighs just over 7 ounces and is light enough to not even notice you are carrying or pulling it around the course. They are even small enough to fit in a trouser pocket.
GolfBuddy Laser 1S
Like the Laser 1, this GolfBuddy is extremely light and it comes with all the same features mentioned above. But the significance of this version comes in the S in the name, because the Laser 1S has a slope function built in.
The impressive feature calculates adjustment to the yardages by accounting for the slope of the course, undulations on the hole being played and the likely added or reduced distance that the terrain adds to a shot.
There is also a “speak” option for the Laser 1S and this, along with the Laser 1, has a 10-second shut off to save battery life.
GolfBuddy Aim L10V
The GolfBuddy Aim L10V, which has been designed with all the features of the Laser 1 and Laser 1S but with a slightly different shape, is the premium option of the trio of new laser measuring devices – and the most advanced yet – and that is because of added extras.
The LCD screen on this one is wider than the other two, giving even better data, and audio features to talk you through the measurements and confirm what you are reading on the screen for added confidence. This feature can be turned off if you prefer not to have the audio played while on the course.
There is an automatic shut-off feature to save battery life after 15 seconds of not being used.
