Popular in the winter months due to the tropical climate, the high season in Puerto Rico is December through May. Here you can watch and play where the pros compete in the Puerto Rico Open. Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau, Bryson DeChambeau and Chesson Hadley have all played the Championship Course at Coco Beach Golf Resort & Residences. Designed by Tom Kite, the 36-hole facility caters to golfers of all abilities. The course has four different tees ranging from 5,300 to 7,587 yards.
The layouts feature seashore paspalum grass, white silica sand bunkers and challenging water hazards.
On the northeast coast, short distance from Coco Beach is the Bahía Beach Resort & Golf Club, home of the five-star St. Regis Bahía Beach Resort.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and has the unique distinction of being a Certified Audubon International Signature Sanctuary.
The course was designed around a network of interconnected lakes that RTJ has taken full advantage of. Fifteen of the eighteen holes border water features, as the course takes a circuitous route around the lakes before emerging onto the Atlantic coast for two of the final three holes.
